Sean tried to find Emily for the entire day, but he couldn't find her throughout the town. Finally, Sean found Emily at the Java Web.
"Emily, where have you been? I've been looking for you the entire day!" Sean exclaimed.
"I was studying at the Library mostly. I have a huge bio test tomorrow," Emily answered.
"I was worried about you when you just left Shockwave like that," Sean replied.
"I'm sorry, I just had to get going. What happened with you and Amy out there anyway?" Emily asked.
"She was just really down and upset about this whole thing with her father. All I did was comfort her."
"Emily managed a small smile. "That's good."
Meanwhile, at the Neilsen's house, Amy was all by herself.
"I can't stay here," Amy decided and started to pack.
Later that night, she checked herself into the Sea Breeze Hotel and decided that she should stay there for a while.
Amy tried to go to sleep as soon as she could, but that plan didn't work. So, Amy got out for a walk on the beach.
"Hey, Amy, what are you doing out here this late at night?"
"Oh, hey, Sean, you scared me. I just couldn't sleep," Amy answered.
"Yeah, but you do live on the other side of Sunset Beach, nowhere near the beach," Sean said.
"I just rented a room at the Sea Breeze Motel, actually."
"What happened to your house?"
"I was getting a little lonely at my house. It's kinda spooky there all by myself."
"I'm sure it is without your father there with you."
"I just never realized that he meant so much to me until this happened. Sean, what am I going to do? I'm not even twenty years old yet," Amy started to get teary.
Sean hugged Amy and the two of them just stood there on the beach for a few moments.
"You feeling better?" Sean finally asked.
"Yeah, I guess so," Amy answered unsurely.
"It's getting late, why don't I walk to you back to the motel?"
"Yeah, thanks."
After Sean walked Amy to the motel, he walked to his apartment over Shockwave. As he walked, he thought about where he stood with Amy and Emily.
"Can this be true? I'm seeing an entire different side of Amy since her father's disappearance. Can she really change though? And I really feel guilty about spending so much time with her, especially since I'm in love with Emily. What am I thinking? I'm totally committed to Emily and we're going to be together forever " Sean thought until he reached his apartment.
