A mountain of stone, a door
of steel
Can't stand in my way, I'd go on
Brutal machines, unbending laws
Can't slow me down, I'd go on
I've learned how to deal and when to fight
I know what's real, I know what's right
I'm not afraid, a wounded dove
I can be tender in a world so tough
I'm sure I could face the
bitter cold
But life without you, I don't know
The winds of the heart can
blow me down
But I get right up and I stand my ground
I've tasted fear, my share of pain
The wasted tears of love in vain
I've held you tight, pushed you away
Now with all my might I beg you to stay
I'm sure I could face the
bitter cold
But life without you, I don't know
I know what I want, I know
what I need
But there's just one thing I must believe
Deep in the night by a dying flame
You will be there when I call your name
I'm sure I could face the
bitter cold
But life without you, I don't know
I don't know
~Celine Dion's "I Don't Know"
"Why can't Sean just be nice to me? And see me the way he sees Emily?" Amy thought to herself as "I Don't Know" ended at Shockwave. "I love him so much, but he doesn't see anything in me at all."
" Amy, Amy," Brad started to say as he waved his hand in front of her face.
"I'm here, Brad," Amy answered annoyingly.
"Thinking about Sean again?" Brad laughed.
"Shut up!"
"Amy, why don't I give you some advice. Don't go after Sean, he doesn't care about you at all and you will be hurt more than you are now if you don't give up," Brad said.
Just then, Sean and Emily walked into Shockwave.
"Thanks, but no thanks," Amy replied and walked over to Sean and Emily's table. "Hi, Sean. Emily."
"Hi, Amy, any news on your father's disappearance?" Emily asked.
"No, just what we know as of now, meaning nothing at all. All I want to know is where he is and I'm prepared for the worst already," Amy answered.
"I'm sure that Ricardo will figure it all out soon," Sean said.
"I know, but it's just that I miss him so much and he was the only one who cared about me," Amy explained.
"I'm sure that's not true," Sean said sympathetically.
"Yeah, whatever. It doesn't really matter anyway. Listen, I got to get out of here now, bye," Amy said and left Shockwave.
"Something is definitely wrong with her," Sean said. "I'll be back."
"Sean kissed Emily on the cheek and then left after Amy.
"Hey, Amy, wait up," Sean shouted as he went after Amy.
"Yeah, Sean?" Amy asked.
"I just want you to know that if you ever needed anyone to talk to, I'm here for you," Sean said.
"Thanks, Sean, but no thanks. You and I both know that we can't be great friends because you hate me--"
"Amy, I don't hate you," Sean interrupted. "It's just that Emily and I don't appreciate at all how you've been trying to break us up ever since we started going out."
"Don't you understand though, Sean? I would do anything for you and I care for you so much that that I can't see the two of you together."
"There are probably a lot of guys out there for you and you just haven't met him yet. Things will be okay. You're still young. And as for your dad, he'll turn out okay too. Trust me."
"Thanks, Sean," Amy let out a little smile and hugged Sean. She thought, "You'll be mine one day, I know it."
"Hey, I have to get back to Emily. Are you okay?" Sean asked.
"I will be. Thanks for everything."
Sean left to go back to Shockwave. However, Emily had left already. "Where can you be, Em?" Sean thought out loud.
Brad came from behind Sean and said, "She was upset that you were gone so long."
Sean, without answering Brad, left Shockwave to find Emily.
