It's been about half a year since Maria's return from the "dead" but her memories still hadn't returned. Meg felt that she was starting to lose her grasp onto Ben. She started to get more and more depressed by the day and there wasn't anything that anyone could do about it.
"Hey, Meg," said Ben. "I've been looking for you everywhere. I was worried since you left so early this morning."
"Oh, don't worry, Ben, I just needed to get some fresh air. Things have been a little tense at the house and I just thought that coming to see the sun rise would help me clear my mind," Meg reassured Ben.
"Meg, you know that this will end soon, I just feel it. And don't lose hopes on us. I love you."
"I know you do, but it's just been kind of hard living with Maria."
"Hey, come here," Ben said and hugged Meg.
At the far side of the beach, Maria's watching Ben and Meg. "No, you two won't get back together as far as I'm concerned," Maria thought. Although nobody knew, Maria had gotten her memories back for a few weeks now and she remembered how much she had loved Ben. Ever since then, she's been trying to win Ben's heart over, and she knew that Ben is getting more and more attached to her by the day.

"Hey, Maria, how are you doing today?" Ben asked Maria after he and Meg got home from the beach.
"I'm fine. So where were the two of you early this morning?" Maria asked, as she brought out breakfast for Ben.
"We were just at the beach, listening at the waves crashing into the beach," Meg answered.
"I love listening at the waves, but I always feel something…weird when I listen to them, like I was being attached to it somehow."
Ben started to look apprehensive, remembering the night that Maria was thought to have drowned. "Well," Ben said as he came back from his thoughts, "you were definitely attached to it."
"Can you bring me by the ocean later today or something because I feel like that I can get my memories back if I'm there with you," Maria suggested.
"Yeah, sure, I guess that I can get home early today," Ben answered.
"My plans are working out like I hoped they would!" Maria thought and started to serve breakfast.
