It had been ten years. Ten years to the day. Everyday, he was reminded of the smell of her hair, the way she grinned at him, the touch of her skin. That was what got him through the ten long, rough years.
Jeff had changed almost every aspect in his life ever since the day his wife left him. This was going to be the day, the day to bring her back. He was as determined as he had ever been.

For ten years, Jeff pretended everything was fine with his life, even if he was really going through his darkest days. He wanted someone to share his ups and downs, but there wasn't anyone who knew him as well as she did.
Nobody really knew exactly what happened with him. His parents and friends knew some, but not everything. No one person knew it all. It was something he wanted to share with his wife, his wife only.

Jeff gently picked up a picture frame from his nightstand. His room was filled with pictures of his wife, but this one was special. This picture was taken on their wedding day.
She was in a delicate white dress with shiny sequins all over it. He was dressed in a tuxedo. Both of them had happy smiles on their face. If only they knew how their marriage would be turning out.
He didn't give up on her though. No matter how tough things got, he would have her in the back of his mind. He promised her to get better, and he was determined to keep that promise. There was no way he was going to let his wife down again.
