Charlene walked down the mall with her best friend, Jessica. Both of them had a handful of bags as they entered another store.
"I can’t wait until the guys come home for Christmas," Jessica sighed.
Charlene picked up a shirt and replied, "Yeah, I know what you mean."
The girls were referring to Jeff, Drew, Nick and Justin, known to most people as 98 Degrees. Jessica and Charlene had been best friends with Jeff ever since high school. Although Jeff had been busy with his music career, he never lost touch with the two of them.
"Have you talked to him lately?" Charlene asked.
"A few days ago, actually. He wouldn’t give me the exact date, but he said that he’s coming home soon," Jessica replied.
The two of them continued shopping for a few more hours.
Ashley ran out of the kitchen to answer the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey, honey," a male voice said deeply into the phone.
"Justin!" Ashley yelled out of excitement.
"How have you been, baby?" Justin said.
"The job has been busy and I’ve missed you so much."
"I miss you too."
"When are you coming home?"
"Sooner than you know, I promise."
"Justin, you know that I’d really like to talk, but I gotta go…I’m cooking dinner and the stuff is going to burn if I don’t get off soon," Ashley explained.
"Cooking?" Justin laughed.
"Very funny! Well, I’ll talk to you later, okay?"
"Sure…I love you, honey," Justin said.
"I love you too."
The two of them hung up and Ashley went back to cooking, although her mind was filled with Justin’s deep voice and his sexy smile.
Sara drove in her truck to the airport. She was going to pick up her best friend, Nick. He had been traveling around the country with his group, 98 Degrees, for more than a few months. She missed him so much and she just couldn’t wait to see him again.
After she parked her car, she went by Gate 27, where she knew Nick’s flight would be landing.
After a few minutes, people started to pile out of the terminal. Sara knew that the guys would come out last to try to avoid a big scene. She looked around and didn’t see a big crowd of fans waiting for the guys.
Finally, Sara saw the last of the people. A short guy started to come out of the terminal, followed by three taller guys. Once she saw Nick, she ran to him. He dropped his bags and hugged his best friend for the longest time.
Becki was talking on the phone with her best friend, Megan, when her doorbell rang.
"I’ll call you later, Megan," Becki said and hung up.
She stood up and headed to the door. It was getting late at night and was surprised that someone was outside her door. For precautions, she looked through the peephole first.
All she saw were some flowers. She raised one of her eyebrows and opened the door reluctantly.
"Delivery!"
Becki gasped at the sight of her boyfriend, Drew.
He smiled and immediately hugged his girlfriend. The two of them went into their apartment.
