The following few days went by quickly. The group was either in town in Burlington or at the cabin just hanging out with one another.

They spent their last day cleaning up the cabin, which actually took a long time because they had to take down all the decorations and the tree. In addition to that, they had to straighten up the place.

The flight from Burlington to New York City was going to leave early in the morning on the second to last day of the year. Everyone was very groggy when they woke up early in the morning for the airport.

The group checked into their hotel once they arrived in New York City. They rested up for a little while and then looked around in the city.

The guys wore disguises, knowing perfectly well that in a city as big as New York, they would be recognized in an instant in the streets. They each wore a hat and sunglasses, although it wasn’t a really bright day. They also wore layers of clothing, making them look bigger than they really were. The girls laughed at the disguises, but knew that they had to go along with it anyway.

The first destination was Rockefeller Center, where the famous Christmas tree stood. They took pictures because for all of the girls, except for Jessica, it was their first time to be in New York City.

"This is so amazing," Sara exclaimed.

"You know, even though I’m from New Jersey, I’m never sick of seeing this tree. It’s just full of the holiday spirit," Jessica said.

Wandering through the streets, they all arrived on Fifth Avenue. From their perspectives, the street was so large crowded with people trying to get on with their lives.

Department stores lined up and they knew that they had to visit some of them. It wasn’t everyday they’d get to be in such elegant and enormous stores.

"This is so nice," Ashley picked up a long lavender silk dress.

"You should try it on," Justin said to her.

"Oh, look at this," she showed him the price tag.

Justin’s eyes widened. "Well, just try it on. If you like it, I’ll get it for you."

Ashley was about to put it back and said, "Don’t worry about it, J. It’s not that pretty anyway."

"You should just try it on, I mean, might as well," Justin insisted.

Ashley nodded and went into the fitting room. She came out in a couple of minutes.

The color of the dress accentuated Ashley’s body. Her eyes glistened with some of the diamonds on the dress. Justin had a stunned look on his face.

"What’s wrong?" Ashley looked up and down the dress.

"You just look really great in it," Justin replied, not taking his eyes off of her petite body.

"Thanks," she blushed a little.

"You should get it, Ash," Justin said.

"Don’t worry about it—"

"Let’s just say that I’ll get it for you for our next date," he grinned.

She rolled her eyes and went back into the fitting room to change. Justin went to pay for the dress.

After they were done in the story, they walked down the street again, landing in a small, cheap antique jewelry store.

Jeff bought Charlene a locket, showing his dedication toward her and their new relationship. The locket also represented the strong relationship between the two of them, which they wanted to last for as long as they lived.

While Jeff, Charlene, Ashley and Justin were in the jewelry story, the rest of the group went into Armani Express, which was a couple of stores away.

Nick bought himself a navy blue polo shirt. It was on discount and it looked good on him, according to Sara and Megan.

The group met up in about fifteen minutes and were about to go to dinner, until Drew stopped off at a store with a variety of baseball caps.

"Drew, you already have way too many of these at him," Becki complained.

"Yeah, but you can never have enough," he grinned at her.

Looking through the store, Drew finally picked out a baby blue Yankees hat.

"I can’t believe you just bought that," Nick said to his brother.

"Well, believe it!" Drew laughed.

Laughing along with Drew, they all strolled down to a restaurant for dinner.
