After just random talking for a few hours, most of them started to get tired. The flames in the fireplace began to die down and most of them began to disperse into their respective rooms.
Justin remained in the living room with Ashley. Her eyelids softly covered her eyes as she laid on the rug in the middle of the room. Justin walked up to their room quietly to bring down a blanket. He covered her gently with the blanket and kissed her on her soft hair. He cleaned up the room a little and snuggled up next to Ashley for the night, with the flames ceasing in front of them.
The following morning, Ashley woke up as the sun sneaked into the living room. She smiled to herself as she felt Justins arms around her. Without waking him up, she turned to her other side to face Justin, who was awake already to her surprise.
"Hey, honey, how did you sleep?" Justin asked in his deep voice and kissed Ashley on the forehead.
"Okay, the floor was a little hard though," Ashley replied. "It was nice with us waking up together after all those times you were on tour."
Justin leaned over and gave Ashley a kiss as to assure her of his commitment to her.
Just then, Jessica walked down the stairs to grab a drink of water. Justin and Ashley broke their kiss and looked up.
"Sorry, guys," Jessica said as she realized what was going on.
Ashley sat up from the floor and replied, "Thats okay."
"Ill be right out of your way," Jessica said and quickly got a glass of water.
"Dont worry about it," Ashley looked up at the clock, which said that it was already ten in the morning. "We should probably get up already."
Seeing the couple was going to get up soon anyway, Jessica stayed down to talk with Ashley and Justin for a little while.
"Whats the plan for today, you guys?" Jessica asked.
"Nothing that we know of," Justin replied. "There are only a couple of choices, so its not that difficult. We can either stay in here, or we can go out to Burlington."
"Why dont we wait for the others to see what we all want to do?" Ashley said, as Becki and Drew descended from the stairs.
"Good morning, guys," Becki said.
"Morning," Ashley, Justin and Jessica all replied.
"Did you have a good night sleep?" Ashley asked.
"Yeah, we were pretty tired after being up so late," Drew laughed.
"What do you guys want to do today?" Justin asked.
"Whatever is good with everyone," Becki replied.
"That so didnt help us," Jessica sighed. "Well, you guys can talk for a little while. Im going up to change and stuff like that."
Everyone agreed to go out to Burlington for the day. After all, there wasnt going to be that much to do back at the cabin. However, they were going to buy some food at the late afternoon so they could have a nice supper together at night back at the cabin.
It was surprising how few people noticed the guys when they were at the mall. A few people gave weird looks just based upon recognition, but no one actually walked up to any of the guys to ask for anything. Back in Ohio, however, the guys would be noticed easily by the fans, which meant they usually didnt go out that much there.
The group arrived back at the cabin at about four in the afternoon. They bought a huge turkey, salads and other appetizers. Since the guys didnt really know how to cook, they only prepared the salads and went out to watch some television. All of the girls took the liberty to cook at least a decent meal.
Charlene and Sara decided that they would prepare the turkey. They stuffed the turkey and placed it in the oven. While Charlene and Sara were making the turkey, Becki and Megan combined the salads and placed them on the dining table. Jessica and Ashley made some cold slaw and appetizers like that. They also prepared some snacks for the guys, who were watching a football game.
After the girls were done with the food and the turkey was cooking in the oven, they joined the guys in the living room.
"Score!" all of the guys yelled at the same time as a touchdown was scored.
Charlene rolled her eyes to the rest of the girls. She, nor the rest of the girls, really understood why most guys love football so much.
Supper was ready in about a couple of hours or so. Everyone gathered around the dining table with the turkey in the middle and the other foods at their sides. Drew led in a prayer before they began to eat.
After supper was over, everyone was too full to move a bit. The guys, being the true gentlemen that they were, decided that they would wash the dishes after the girls had cooked them such a hearty meal. However, the guys made a big mess out of the kitchen. They got water all over the place, especially next to the sink area.
"What are you guys doing in there?" Becki yelled into the kitchen.
"Nothing, Bec, dont worry," Drew laughed as they got some more water on the floor.
Becki didnt really believe what Drew said, so she went into the kitchen and noticed the big mess the guys made.
"I knew that we shouldnt have left you guys to do the dishes," Becki said.
All the other girls went to see what was going on and they just wound up helping to clean up, even though they didnt really want to.
Only one more hour was left until Christmas finally arrives. Everyone gathered around the living after cleaning up the kitchen. Everyone was really impatient, so they decided that it would be okay to open a gift for now and then open the rest of them later after it was passed midnight.
Drew picked up a large box that was given to him by Nick. Nick had bought his brother a nice sweater. After everyone saw what Drew got, they each also picked out a present from under the tree and opened.
Time went by pretty quickly as midnight soon arrived.
