Nothing had been the same ever since Brian and I broke up a couple of weeks ago. A part of me died when we broke up. He brought such happiness into my life when he was with me, but I was unable to hold onto his love. If I could see him again, there would be so many things for me to tell him.

"Wendy, Wendy!" Professor Smith yelled at me. "Would you like to join our class?"

"I’m sorry," I said, embarrassed. I felt like everyone was staring at me.

My grades in school dropped off considerably after the big breakup. I knew that I had to move on, but how?

Yet another school day ended. I wish that I could just move out of Orlando, transfer from the University of Florida, to get away from many reminders of the Backstreet Boys, from what I once had with Brian.

I laid there in my bed in the dorm room, trying to get some studying in for the night, but my mind drifted off once again. This time to my one year anniversary with Brian.

****Flashback****

"Where are we going, Brian?" I smiled as I attempted to pull down the blindfolds he had put on me.

"You’re so impatient!" he laughed as he held my hands to prevent me from pulling down the blindfolds. "We’ll be thee soon enough."

All I knew was that we were driving along the coast. I could easily smell the salt in the air and the ocean breeze through my hair.

After about 10 more minutes, Brian pulled up his jeep and led me out. He then picked me up by the waist and carried me in his muscular arms to a spot on the beach. He slowly lowered me to the ground and walked behind me to take off the blindfolds. I looked around.

There was a large blanket in front of me, with a picnic basket. There were a lot of white rose pedals laid out on the blanket.

We both sat down when I finished admiring what he had done for me.

"Brian, this is so beautiful. I love it," I said softly with tears in my eyes.

"I love you so much and I wanted you to know that."

He leaned over and gave me a passionate kiss.

"I love you too, Brian," I smiled as a tear rolled down my cheek. Brian’s soft hand wiped it away.

We ate the food that he had brought for us and danced to "I’ll Never Break Your Heart" and "All I Have To Give."

For the rest of the night, I laid in Brian’s arms listening to the waves.

****End Flashback****

The memory of that night faded as my chemistry book fell on the floor with a loud bang. Once again, I was back in my dorm room.

KNOCK KNOCK!

Who could be visiting me this late at night?

I opened the door and a deliveryman stood in my door with a bouquet of red roses.

"Can you sign here?" he pointed to the dotted line on the page.

I signed. He handed over the flowers and left.

I walked back over to my bed and put down the flowers. I searched for card, but there was none.

KNOCK KNOCK!

"Who can it be now?" I said to myself.

I opened the door.

Brian was on one knee with a huge smile on his face. He searched through his pocket and asked, "Will you marry me? I know that I was the one who broke up with you, but baby, you gotta believe me when I tell you that I love you. It’s been two weeks since we broke up and my life hasn’t been the same without you. You’re my soulmate and there’s no reason for me to live if I can’t be with you."

Brian held out my hand and tear welled up in my eyes. "Can you please forgive me and be my wife?"

"There is nothing that I’d like more than to become your wife!"

He jumped up and picked me up by my waist.

"I love you, Wendy."

"I love you, Brian."

He let me down and put the ring on my left ring finger. We kissed passionately as if nothing had happened between us. He picked me up and kicked the door shut to lead me to my bed.
